ALL POOL HIRE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Why does there need to be a minimum of 2 adults at all times?
For safety reasons, there must always be 2 adults on the premises. A child cannot be responsible if the adult has an accident and there is a need to call for help in an emergency.
Can I hire the pool for more than 2 hours?
Yes, you can hire the pool for more than 2 hours, please contact us.
Can I bring extra people who will only be watching and not swimming?
When you hire the pool, the number of people you book for is the number of people who will be in the building whether they are swimming or not.
What do we do when we arrive?
Once you have parked on the driveway, ring the doorbell and one of us will come and open the gate and show you to the pool.
Will anybody be watching?
No, when you book the pool, there is just you and your friends or family in the pool building. Because the pool is unsupervised the hirer is responsible for the safety of their group.
Can we arrive early so we can get changed before our hour?
No, please don't arrive early as we will be getting the pool ready for you. Ring the doorbell a couple of minutes before your booked time and this will give time to walk down to the pool.
Do you supply towels or swimming costumes?
No, you need to bring all swim wear and towels.
Do you have a baby swim ring or arm bands we can use?
No, you need to bring your own baby swim aid or arm bands as you must be responsible for ensuring that the swimming aids are suitable for your babies/child's age and weight and that they are in good working condition.
Do you have showers?
There is a small changing room with one shower cubicle and a separate toilet facility available.
Can I just turn up at anytime for a swim or do I need to book?
It is essential to book your swimming session, otherwise you will probably have a wasted journey as the pool will already be in use.
What is the maximum number allowed in the pool?
Please contact with your your party size and we can let you know.
Do babies count in the number of people coming to use the pool?
Yes, all children of any age count.
Can I bring my pet (dog, cat, hamster, rabbit etc)?
No animals are permitted at Lathom Private Hire Swimming Pool
Can we bring our own pool toys?
Yes you can. If you would like to bring your own toys please ensure that they are soft. All toys and swim aids must be taken home again.
Can I take photos?
As you have the pool to yourselves, you are welcome to take photos.
Why does it say 'no diving, jumping or bombing'?
Because of the design of the pool, it is not safe to do any of the above.
Does the time we book include getting changed?
Yes, your time includes getting changed. We ask that you are ready to leave promptly, this ensures that we have time to prepare the pool for the next swimmers.
Can my baby swim with nothing on?
No. All babies must use the double nappy system. This is using a disposable swim nappy, with a reusable 'happy nappy' over the top. These fit securely around the thighs and waist and ensure that any accidents stay securely in the nappy. Disposable nappies may be disposed of in the bin on site.
Happy nappies are a good idea even for toilet trained toddlers, as when they are enjoying themselves, accidents do happen.
If an accident happens, this can close the pool for several hours. Using a happy nappy doesn't just save the pool, it saves embarrassment too.
The pool is completely private.
Please note that the owner/operator may re-enter the pool room at the end of your session, so please be dressed appropriately.
